The romance of Trent Bridge, like most great romances in English history, began not in a flowery meadow or by a babbling brook. It began in a pub. William Clarke fell in love with the landlady of the Trent Bridge Inn – and a year after marrying her and moving in around 1837, he’d started hosting cricket matches in the field around the back.
Today, that field is one of the most famous and beautiful cricket grounds in the world. A place replete with magic moments in history, old-world character and all the love and attention-to-detail that goes into keeping both alive.
Whether you’re a pair of cricket-lovers or you simply want a unique and charming wedding venue for your special day that’s less cliché and more charm, we’d be simply delighted to help.

I would like to thank all the staff involved in our wedding. We had a wonderful day and everything was perfected. Everyone commented on how nice the room looked and how good the food was. The service from the staff was excellent and they couldn’t do enough for us. We would also like to thank DJ Ben for standing in. We also loved our names on the cricket board. Thank you for a truly excellent wedding reception

I want to say on behalf of our families and especially the newlyweds that we felt that the service offered was pretty close to faultless. We would struggle to think of anything that we would have preferred to be done differently. We loved the Derek Randall Suite with its light airiness and the ability to go outside in the stands. It happened to be a beautiful sunny day and quite frankly everyone was just delighted with the location. The team who served us was wonderful. They were efficient, skilled, considerate and kind from beginning to end.

From the start of our planning with Trent Bridge, Trudie our wedding co-ordinator was incredibly helpful and always quick to respond with patient answers to our many questions. Our daughter and son-in-law really appreciated the opportunity to taste the food they had chosen before the big day and make the few desired changes. On their wedding day, the food was great. Lots of guests commented to us that the food was really good and the portions were generous.

You may be interested to know that we attended a reception in the Derek Randall Suite about five years ago and said to one another at the time that we should remember it for when we needed such a venue. Since returning ourselves, we have already recommended Trent Bridge as a venue to friends and of course some local friends saw for themselves how good it was.
