You may choose to marry at Missenden Abbey in the Library or Garden Room, both licensed for civil weddings and partnerships. Alternatively, marry at one of the local churches, before travelling over to Missenden Abbey to celebrate with family and friends.
Wedding celebrations begin with champagne and canapés before heading into our dining rooms with vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows, or our beautifully dressed marquee, all setting the scene for a fantastic wedding breakfast. Our kitchen team pride themselves in producing delicious seasonal menus, utilising the abundance of home-grown and locally sourced produce, and our Head Chef will happily meet with you in the planning stages to discuss your menu choices.
Once the formalities of speeches and toasts are complete, guests are invited to retire from the dining rooms to begin the evening celebrations with the entertainment of your choice.

We also love the teddy and it is a very thoughtful keepsake and I’m excited to come back for afternoon tea!
The Abbey looked beautiful, and you made us and our guests feel so welcome from the minute we arrived, The food was outstanding from the canapés, the meal itself, the BBQ and then breakfast the following day. We had so many comments saying how lovely the food was.
The young people who were waitressing or serving at the bar were so friendly and attentive making the atmosphere so calm and relaxed.
Stuart and I had the best day, (the weather helped) but we do want to say a huge thank you to yourself and the whole team for making it so. We don’t know how smoothly things ran behind the scenes and if there were any hiccups, we never knew.
We chose the Abbey on line during lockdown not having been around it or tasting any of the food, but we’re so glad we did as it was perfect!

When we first came to visit Missenden Abbey (in August 2018!) we were blown away and knew instantly it was the venue for us. Back then, we could not have imagined what was to come over the next three years, but we also could not have imagined how magnificent and supportive the team at Missenden Abbey would be.
When we were first in contact with Laura, it was clear that nothing was too much trouble and that we were working with such a professional! Laura - throughout the whole planning process you have been truly incredible and we are so grateful to have worked with you on the planning. It really is such a shame that you couldn’t be with us for our wedding but we owe so much of the day to you and will always be thankful to you for all of your time and help over the past few years.
To Natasha and the rest of the team on the day - thank you so much for everything you did for us! From our point of view, the day ran so smoothly from the moment we arrived at the Abbey. Everything was set up so beautifully and our meal was delicious. The whole day honestly exceeded all of our expectations. So many of our guests have commented on how amazing the day was and, to us, it really was perfect.
“Thank you” will never be good enough to express how grateful we are to you both (and the whole team). We are so pleased to have chosen Missenden Abbey as our wedding venue and will forever be grateful for our day.
