As a fully licensed wedding venue we have the perfect backdrop to your day with panoramic views across the city.

Formally a 1950’s transit shed, the building and infamous cranes that you still see at the museum today were used to load ships and railway wagons delivering precious cargo into the city. Now a fully licensed wedding venue, we have the perfect backdrop to your celebrations!

We understand that this is your big day and that you have your own ideas of how you would like to celebrate your marriage. Our flexible events space, delicious menus, drinks and decors ideas allow you to do your day, your way!

Make the most of the experience on hand! Your coordinator can help recommend suppliers, and have done this before so can help alleviate some of the stress!

Fantastic for weddings
My daughter got married on Saturday 23rd April and we hired the events suite at the M shed. What a fantastic location and even more so the fantastic staff that helped us from when we booked it over a year ago. The staff on the day led by Bruce who put 110% into everything to ensure the day was success. Well worth looking at if you want a wedding reception.

Lovely wedding reception
We attended a friends wedding reception on the top floor and have to say what a lovely venue. As the weather was good we spent the beginning of the evening out on the balcony enjoying a few drinks with a fantastic view! The space provided was adequate for the amount of guests with the inclusion of tables, a dance floor, an area for photos and the buffet area it didn't feel cramped at all. We will be sure to consider this location for any events in our future.
