Creeksea Place is a Tudor manor house with set within acres of land which was built in 1569 by Sir Arthur Harris. Creeksea has been said to have been the home of Anne Boleyn. Her daughter, Queen Elizabeth is thought to have met her soldiers here through a subterranean tunnel connected with Rochford. The tunnels themselves have not yet been uncovered, although great Tudor drains filled with oyster shells have been found. The great sword of Creeksea Place, now in safekeeping, had rested for nearly three hundred years on a platform at the top of the oak spiral staircase. The house was also used by the British military during World War II but since that time the building was uninhabited. It’s only recently that the house is begun to be restored to its former glory by the Bertorelli family.
We receive fantastic reviews from our happy Brides, please see one of our recent reviews-
Claire and the team were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The venue was perfect for us, intimate yet with a sense of space that allowed our guests to really enjoy the day. The day itself was perfect and their recommended caterer 'Limeberry' was amazing in supplying everything that we asked for. Everyone who attended commented on what an unusual venue it was and how well it was laid out, a real jewel in the countryside!

I just wanted to send an email to thank you all so much for everything for our wedding on Thursday.
When we get home from our honeymoon and do our thank you cards we will definitely be sending you one.
Everything was perfect and everyone thought the venue was beautiful.
We will send over our thank you card as soon as we can. And we hope to pop in to some of the afternoon teas you hold there.
Thank you all again so so much!!

Meet the Manager

I have worked at Creeksea Place for ten years. I started as an office assistant and have worked my way up to be the office manager. I am normally the first person you speak to when you contact Creeksea Place. In addition to office work I show people around the venue and assist on wedding days. My role is very varied, which I really enjoy, during the wedding season no two days are ever the same. Creeksea Place is a family run business, I am part of a small, dedicated team and we are all passionate about our beautiful venue. We really enjoy sharing it with our couples and working with them to create their perfect wedding day. The highlight of my job is seeing a bride walk down the aisle and then watching the happy couple take their vows in one of our beautiful ceremony areas surrounded by family and friends.
