Here is my idea which hopefully some B2B will appreciate. This is what I'm doing to cut my costs of caterers as i dont have a huge budget. I'm hiring a hall in a local village near me which i love. The village has thatched roofs etc, so totally looks the part for me. Here we are doing it all ourselves from the main meal(buffet-style) to the finger food for the evening. I was hating the thought of finding people in my wedding party to help with the cooking of feeding 50 people a main meal and another 50 or so for the night. Here's my mums idea. I have a local college near me where they teach catering. I'm going to go down there and speak to the head tutor and ask a couple of students to do the cooking for me. I'll get the food and they can cook it all so the night runs smoothly. Its fantastic experience for them and i will pay them a days wage and proberly buy them a case of beer to say thank you. What you think??

thats a really good idea! Im sure they will be able to manage aswell.
I think that is a great idea! If you have a uni nearby who do catering might be worth trying them too! When I was at uni we catered for a function with a tutor in charge and gained loads of experience - they used it as one of our practical exams! Good luck!
