Hi I am getting married again and I am confused. I kept my previous married surname even though we divorced so on the new wedding certificate do I put my Maiden name or the previous marriage name? Also we are getting married in the US from UK. How would this effect my passport when returning to the UK? Do I travel out and back on my current surname then change by deed poll or? I'm so confused! T. I. A

You have to travel with the name in your passport so ALL tickets must be in that name, it is a misconception that you can rock up with a marriage certificate & they will allow you to fly with passport & tickets being in different names.
Where in USA are you having your ceremony
Bring that your marriage is legally recognised in uk you new surname is just that ...you don’t have to change it by deed poll, to change your passport you will have to send the marriage certificate .
I got married in Navada so if I can help just shout
