My fiancé and I were due to get married in August this year and like lots of people postponed to April 2021. We are getting married in Scotland. We are having a church wedding followed by reception. Our original reception cancelled on us a few weeks ago so we had to find a new one, we had two alternative. We chose one which I didn’t love but was slightly cheaper then the other especially if we can have 90 guests ( which I doubt). I don’t know what to do now as I have found that when getting married in a church in Scotland you have to wear masks apart from when saying your vows and I just don’t want that. Our reception venue does have a terrace which we could get married on but it would be overlooked by the public which im not sure I want. The other reception venue has the possibility to get married outside in private. I tempted to change but then I feel like I am wasting the deposit money on our other venue. We might not have to wear masks by April but I don’t want to chance it really but I don’t know what to do! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
