Please tell me that I am not the only person who is so put off the wedding purely from the experience I've had planning it. I swear i have nothing but bad luck!

Firstly I would like to point out that I am such a laid back person but there's only so much i can take before i crack and believe me i have cracked a few times!

Firstly, the wedding coordinator was actually on maternity leave when we booked our venue and when i scheduled a show round, we were lucky enough to be able to have a look when it was set for a wedding and we had a chat with the girl who was filling in for the coordinator. We ended up provisionally booking there and then and once we got the registrar booked we then paid the deposit and I ran out a day or two later to grab supplies to hand make my save the dates as we were throwing an engagement party to reveal the date and send people home with the save the dates. As i was on my way home, i got an email from the venue confirming my payment and the wedding date. Which was WRONG. Not by a day but my about 9 months! I rang the venue in tears (on the bus) and they told me the date was correct on their system and they aren't sure why i got that email. I then received an email from the lady standing in for the coordinator and she was talking about my trip to New York and she cant wait to see my ring. Clearly the email was not for me and i was furious. I had to hound her for nearly a month to send out my contracts and the only thing i didn't do was mention that she had messed up the price on our contract and therefore charging us £500 less than the agreed price. I signed the contracts and sent them back and once she confirmed receipt it was set in stone. I then couldn't get hold of her to book my own suite to get ready in for the wedding and gave up in October 2018. The proper coordinator emailed me in January to see how i was getting on and i said how unhappy i was and she fixed EVERYTHING. Shes amazing so i've not had any more issues with the venue.

I didn't enjoy dress shopping, it was a little weird undressing in front of a stranger and having to stare at my unflattering lumps and bumps in dresses. I went with some of my bridesmaids and my mam and my h2bs mam and we were looking for dresses and the sales lady handed me the same dress 3 times and i told her i didn't want full lace and i didn't want full satin and she scoffed at me and told me all wedding dresses have lace and satin and then threw the dress at me. I was not happy at all and left. Luckily my mam and me went to a small boutique in the city and she actually found my dress which is BEAUTIFUL. And funnily enough, no lace OR satin. IN YOUR FACE EVIL SALES WOMAN.
I asked my maid of honour to start planning my hen do in January and it got to August and she still hadn't done anything so my cousin had to step in and make some arrangements. My MOH was given the job of sorting out travel which again we had to force her to do as she was more concerned about making hen party bags. It was awful. The bus she got was so small we were all claustrophobic, the apartment was disgusting and everyone left me to go and see Christmas markets etc so i sat outside of a bar with my mam just wishing and hoping the night would go quicker. It didn't. My cousin got so drunk she was being super rude to the waiters when we went for a meal, when we got back to the apartment, my mam threw up as she really didn't like the food, my cousin was so drunk she was getting right in my face and starting things and i started to have a huge anxiety attack and so i left. I left the entire thing, crying and my aunt drove me from Manchester to Shrewsbury as she decided not to stay and i got a train home to Northumberland the next day, i cried the entire journey it was awful.

6 days later i lost my job

Then my fiance tells me his probation is up and he will either get a huge Christmas bonus and a pay rise or nothing and will lose his job. So i was so stressed and ill over it but luckily he kept the job and we had a nice Christmas!

My wedding dress was supposed to be back in store in October but didn't arrive until last week. Then my fitting got cancelled because my dress got held up in customs as the designer hadn't put the paperwork in and then closed for their kings day celebrations (My dress is Pronovias in Spain) so i had to wait until they got the paperwork and then had my fitting.

I snapped our cake topper yesterday and its too short notice for them to make me another one so i've had to get a back up one which is nowhere near as pretty as the original.

Also mid planning I had to have an operation so i'm worried all of my wedding ring pictures will show a scar that hasn't really healed yet and my skin and hair have decided they just LOVE grease. Doesn't matter what i do my skin is oily in seconds and my hair could cook chips in the sunshine even after i've washed it. Its now a little over 2 weeks until my wedding and i'm REALLY hoping for a beauty miracle here lol

I feel a little better ranting on here too. But please if you've had a crap planning experience, please let me k now so i feel like i'm not the only one lol

My skin is super bad at the moment so i don't think a facial would help at all! Ive been using the bodyshops Himalayan charcoal mud mask and that's cleared up a lot of it so i'm continuing to use that and just hoping for one perfect skin day (preferably my wedding day!! lol)

I have completely banned myself from wearing make up until the day of the wedding just to make sure my skin is the best it can be and from Monday i have myself on at least 2 litres of water a day to make sure my skin is super hydrated! I am totally starting to have that panic moment of "Have i forgot something really important?" and i think with the luck I've had that's probably what's happened lol
