    we're looking at just having a ceremony and then a reception, no wedding breakfast etc. Everywhere I've looked gives more than we need for the day! We have a fairly small number of people attending hence why we just want to go for a reception with a buffet. has anyone else done things this way? Our local registery office is not ideal, it's very plain and in the middle of the crumby town centre. any other suggestions, I'm excited to hear them!

    Look for venues like barns or halls that you can hire and can get married in .most of them will be self catering so it will be up to you what you do ,you can. Get married on some beaches are you willing to go to a different registry office ? Not sure if your aloud
