So, my fiancé’s parents keep on at me at every opportunity about meeting my parents. It’s getting annoying and I know it needs to happen. I’m dreading it though. My in-laws are both retired medical professionals, my fiancé went to a very good boarding school and are very articulate and maybe, kind of posh. My family, as lovely as they are, are normal, down to earth people. Still working, not in high end jobs, just your normal, every day job. My dad has lots of tattoos. They can both have colourful language..... but are lovely and couldn’t do any more for us and I love them. I’m just so worried as they are all very different and are polar opposites.I’m absolutely dreading it and I’m getting so stressed about it. Can’t I just wait until the day before the wedding?

I would arrange a meal out somewhere that you & OH like, somewhere relaxed.
Remember that both sets of parent already have one thing in common ...they love you both and want you to be happy
