I need help with one of my bridesmaids, shes a cousin and I was a bridesmaid at her wedding in 2017. I bent over backwards for her, was on hand to suggest things for the hen do, help her with decisions on a bridesmaid dress and even the hair styles. Now that it's my turn to get married, she doesn't want to know. I go to her for advice since shes already been through it all and I get nothing but remarks like "Oh you have ages, yet!" or "I can't remember." It's really challenging because as soon as I talk to her about anything wedding related she just switches off. My mother in law to be thinks shes jealous but I don't think that's the issue. I think she is just lazy and self centered. I have all my bridesmaids/MOH in a group chat and when i told them my colour theme, they all got excited, nothing from her. When i told them when I was going to order their dresses, everyone got excited but nothing from her and when I asked them about my hen do, everyone said they would think about it and again, nothing from her. I went to her and asked if she would post in the group chat about something to do with the hen do and she refused and said i need to do it because she should have to suggest anything. Its really upset me and I'm at a point where I just don't want her to be a bridesmaid anymore. The issue is, because she is family, if i ask her to step down as a bridesmaid, she will tell her mum who is my mums sister and she will cause an argument with her and that will upset my mum. We have a wedding to attend in July and she will be there as its her brothers wedding and she is surprise, surprise a bridesmaid. So i don't know what to do. If i did it before the wedding , it will be frosty and if i do it after, I will already have her dress. Any advice would be great!
