    Hi all
Have been reading through and everyone seems to have chosen the tradition route. We haven't!!

We are getting married outside on a farm at the end of October next year. Ceremony is at 6pm (i didnt realise our registry office will do weddings up to midnight!!). There will be a max of 20 people. Our kids will be there but no other family are invited. There is no sit down meal just a burger van and hale bales to sit on round a fire pit. No formal roles like bridesmaids etc, just 2 mates as witnesses. H2b and our two 12 year olds are deciding on their own outfits so god knows what they will be. Any flowers will be just wild ones from the farm. Cake is going to be a massive cheese cake!

Anyone elae going outside the norm?

Sounds like a wonderful uncomplicated wedding. At the end of the day, that's what you want so that's what matters. Ours was a mixture of traditional and untraditional.

I had a non traditional wedding! I did have a bm but oh didn't have a best man. We walked "up the aisle" together. We didn't have a cake or a first dance and we had a little BBQ. It was just us 5 of us.

Don't worry about what others want or what you think they want. Instead have what you want.

The 1 regret I have is not having a videographer. I was concentrating so much on trying not to cry and getring my vows right that I don't know what the registrar was saying but it was so beautiful my mil burst into tears! I wish I knew what she said!!!

That sounds amazing. Really refreshing to hear about a different format of wedding.

We had a very traditional wedding and I wouldn't change it for the world as it's just how we wanted it but I love different ideas.

Sounds like you have chosen something that reflects you as a couple and what you really want rather than doing what you think you should do.
