Wedding Forum - Bird Names...

OHs one job is to sort the table names. He has decided on birds as we have a slight bird theme throughout the day.

Today he asked me if I had decided which birds...

I swiftly reminded him that this was his job and he said he would sort. I now feel a need to have a back up plan.

I know there are a lot of birds but i wanted nice names. I didn't want a Pigeon table !!

Top Table Lovebird
Table 1 Dove
Table 2 Kingfisher
Table 3 Nightingale
Table 4 Meadowlark
Table 5 Peacock
Table 6

Although Kingfisher isn't 'nice', i's our road name so feel like we have to have it.
Meadowlark is a beautiful song my choir have sung so wanted that in there.
All others are random.

What do you think and any ideas for table 6??

Also now thinking of the table names. I have thought maybe the name with a silhouette of the bird:

this would be printed on cream card and backed onto dark red which is our stationary theme

Now thinking that some birds are prettier than others physically. Kingsfisher and Nightingale aren't as pretty!

Robin, cardinal, chickadee, canary, finch, goldfinch, oriole, Scarlett flycatcher, woodpecker, swallow, sparrow, owl

Did you physically make one up though? Where on the table did it go? Or did you do 2, 1 for each end?

I have the humming bird in now too :)

I think i will do the silhouettes for quite a few then OH can pick which ones he wants from them.

My best friend had the card on a mirror for her table plan, it looked beautiful :)
I wanted to be a little different, I wanted something I could keep as I'm making a wedding wall in my house, I decided to have vinyl made brought a mirror and put it all on myself, I was really pleased with how it turned out :)

Emily, we're doing family dining, so everyone on one big table - there's only 30 of us so we thought that be fairest/easiest and maybe even a little different.

Yeah we've got a seating plan - the venue also has a copy with corresponding food order so they can just serve food to the right person :)
