    Hi Everyone,

So I have been reading some photography and video blogs for weddings to understand a bit more about the requirements these people have for the job they do and what they need to capture the best imaged and moments of your day and one I keep seeing is the idea of an unplugged ceremony.

So many photographers and videographers don't mind that family and friends want to take photos to but recently they have been seeing more and more cases where family and friends are blocking there shot, I saw one picture on a blog where a groom had to physically move just to catch a glimpse of the bride as all he could see was phones.

So I have been thinking a lot about this and I might try to find a nice poem or a sign to ask people to be aware of the photographer and also might ask them not to put up any photos on the book of face until the bride and groom have put them up first...what do you all think?

Ive never seen any asking not to post pictures before the bride and groom do, but 3t$y have some really nice unplugged ceremony signs. If you don't order one maybe you could get the wording from there and have it printed for your invites?

Thanks Julie, I've not seen any myself about book of face and I don't really see the harm in it :)

Not seen it for weddings but did something similar when I was about to have my baby.

You could use something like the following: ??

"Hello friends and family. Today is our wedding day!

Please allow us the joy of announcing that we've tied the knot - We've waited months/worked hard/had months of planning for this proud moment!

We thank you for not mentioning or uploaded photos of our big day until we have done so ourselves"

We are putting a little note in our order of service about not posting anything on the book of face before we do and not posting pictures of other peoples children. We have children coming whose photos are not allowed on social media for there protection so we have to be very careful. I may also ask the vicar to say something before the ceremony starts about not taking pictures until the photographer has took the shots he wants.

For us the registrar said before I entered, to not take any photos during the ceremony, and she would tell them when they could after the signing of the register etc. Everyone accepted it and it was really love, not a phone in sight in any of the photos :)

We will be having an unplugged ceremony and I will be asking for no pics until the evening guests have arrived to we can see them first. I have no issue with the day being shared on Booky face once everyone we have invited has arrived.

Are you using anything like w3dp1cz to help collect the pics?

    We have registered for w3dp1cz.
One of our friends used it earlier this year, and it seems to have worked really well.

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

We had phones off completely for the service but our vicar was great and told everyone at the start, and she reminded everyone that there were photographers and videographers there already :-) We put a little note in our order of service asking people not to post pics on social media until the day after which people fully respected. It made it better really too cause we could see photos as and when they trickled in rather than a massive load going up on the wedding day and us missing some! xxxx
