hi! I am after some advice, i have brought a princess style wedding dress which is very big and I have fallen in love with tea length dresses which have an underskirt so they puff out a bit. I have been told that the whole bridal party (4 bridesmaid) and myself will all look too big and that fitted long dresses will be a better match to my dress. Has anyone had a big dress with bridesmaid dresses like these who can offer some advice? many thanks xx

Hi, not sure if this will help or not, my dress wasn't a big princess one but it was (I thought) a biggish one and my bridesmaids wore tea length dresses

I chose tea length as none of my bridesmaids were keen on full length dresses and I also preferred the shorter length too. One of my bms is only 4' 8" so hers still looks quite long but she didn't want it shortened lol! Xx

i think it would love lovely to be honest, i think if you like it then go for it, all those opinions from other people are what makes wedding planning stressful, you go with what you want and i'm sure it will look amazing x

Is your dress still in the shop? If so do they have any tea length dresses in for them to try on ?

If you could get even one of your bridesmaids to try one on and you put your dress on you can see what it will look like.

I have a big princess dress and have gone for floor length flowy dresses but I did see loads of tea length I would of picked.

Anyway sod what everyone else says it's your day not theirs do it how you want it!

We spend far too much time worrying about what all these "experts" think is the right thing and what suits us etc. Do what you think is best!
