so after crunching the numbers me and H2B think it would take a load of wieght off by delaying our d1sn3yl@nd honeymoon and going there for our 1 year anniversary. So we were thinking, just this year, we have upgraded all our camping supplies and have some pretty decent stuff so we could spend a few days camping this year for a mini-moon so that we can still get away together. Has anybody done this? We usually go to the same campsite but would maybe like a change, does anybody know of any good campsites?

glamping might be much better as a honeymoon, those little wooden pods are so cute.
I don't really know where to go, i want to research it and go somewhere quite romantic and woodlandsy, the idea of the woolly blankets and hot cups of tea in the woods just sounds perfect to me and campfires at night. I just love it! for sure need somewhere with a shower though!

We love camping and I would feel absolutely fine on a honey moon in our tent! Means you can be you and get on with the things you love. OH is planning ours as a surprise and I just don't want him to tell me that we're going on a package holiday as it isn't us and would be awkward. If he said camping I would be thrilled!

thanks everyone :D i feel much better about it now :) i didn't want people thinking we are odd ahaha. We have literally just spent several hundred on a huge tent (big enough to easily for 8 people) for just the two of us so i think i can make it really cozy and romantic. I just think campfires under the stars is such a perfect image <3
