Hi I've booked and paid for the deposit of our wedding and was wondering if I should get wedding insurance and if so who would you recommend?

Definitely.. you never know what might happen and in my opinion it's a wise idea to cover yourself otherwise you could potentially end up losing a large amount of money! I went with D3b3nh@ms - the price will depend on the level of cover you need, but I paid £39 for ours and I also got a £10 gift card at the time through a promotion and also £10 cashback through t0pc@shb@ck dot com.

We have insurance and purchased it as soon as we booked our venue. I'm just glad that I have that piece of mind, and all for a one off payment of £38.
Hopefully we shall never need it - but its there just in case.
Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

Yes I would recommend it. We also got ours from Debenhams with a £10 voucher. Didn't need it but thankfully had peace of mind that it was there, just incase we did.
I would say yes, We are thinking about getting ours from D3b3nh4ms as well. Haven't booked the venue yet, though.

i think its always best, it's not too expensive especially for the peace of mind, like they say, i'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it x
When we met: August 2009
When we announced engagement: December 2015
When we will get married: September 2017

I would say definitely! In the grand scheme of things, if something was to go wrong I would rather 'lose' £30 - £40 on an unused insurance policy than thousands of pounds without it!

I havent yet but will be. Just because its not too expensive and it really covers you for a lot. I like not having to really worry

How did you ladies get yours for such a good price? The starting prices I can see on the ones mentioned above are about £60!

I am on a site called k1dst@rt. If i shop through them it gives so much money back but it goes into my daughters bank accounts. Mine was advertised on there so I went for it! Think it cost about £32. It's worth shopping around, but make sure you choose one that will cover the things you want covering. I think the prices go up if you want it to cover things such as marquees and ceremonial swords, etc. (I have neither)

Definitley go for wedding insurance - i don't know about most people but bar the house this is the thing i've spent most money on in my entire life - not insuring it seems bonkers!

Yes I would do get it, we have also gone with debs- we went for a higher one that covers the value more, we have oir venue exclusive use so it's a lot to lose x

£36.15 We used W3dd1ng Pl@n 1n5uranc3. Went for the Gold package, as it was slightly higher cover than the actual cost of the day. We just did a search on G00gl3 for Wedding Insurance. There is loads to choose from , but worth every penny for peace of mind.

We also did ours through D3B3nh@ms and paid a one of charge of 59.00 it's Deffo worth looking into for peace of mind if anything was to go wrong and you wouldn't lose a great deal of money if you didnt have to make a claim unlike the costs you could have if things did go wrong x

i dont use the wedding insurance. i think it's not too important

To me wedding important is very important as it covers you Incase anything happens- if the venue went bankrupt or had a fire etc or some other reason and the wedding couldn't go ahead then you are covered- if you don't take insurance then you woukd lose all the money you have paid- if it's a risk yiu are wishing to take then don't bother, but £50 in the grand scheme of the rest of the cost of the wedding is nothing and just gives you that piece of mind :-) xx

it's worth it, if just for peace of mind. Things probably won't go wrong, but I slept better knowing I was covered, just in case.
