Hey all....I'm completely new to this and I'm struggling with all the tools given to us. I've recently paid to become a power user but yet to see any benefits of this. When I click on links it states that The page is restricted and I don't have the credentials to view the page. Has anyone else had this problem or am I doing something wrong?? Please help lol

only power uses can post in the forum from what i am aware, you also have more chance of winning the prize of a dream wedding and you get entered into a monthly draw for wedding items and so on. are the pages peoples profiles? as some people keep them hidden

ooh i'm not fully certain, but MrsBU2B i just accidentally clicked your name rather than this thread and i got the restricted/no credentials page so i think it must be private profiles.

Anyone can post but only power users can post photos, smileys and polls
you also get some extra features.
Not sure why you get the restricted error message as when I clicked on Mrs B's page it opened for me. Maybe try unrestricting your profile?

Thanks ladies. Maybe it's just me then lol. It said we get an organiser or something but I can't see it. I only did it 2 days ago. I can upload photos n smileys ....I still don't know how to add friends n use this yet. But I'm getting there lol

Hi Kimberley welcome :) If you want to add people to your friends list then click their name. It takes you to their profile and there should be a little box that says add friend. Just click on that and the other person will get a notification and confirm the request. People who have kept their profile page private will show the restricted message. I just use the site for the forums really as its nice to chat and get ideas. I tried to use the guest list tools but it is too basic, especially for the number of guests we have. The budget tool is ok though :)

Thank you chick. That's a great help. I'm useless with stuff like this. Takes me ages to work things out lol. Yes it is nice to talk to other brides and talk about wedding stuff =)

UNRESTRICTING YOUR PROFILE: If you want to 'make friends' with fellow members, you will need to 'unrestrict' your profile. You will also need to do this so fellow members can leave helpful links on your wall (as no links are allowed on the forum). How to unrestrict your profile- 1. Go to ‘My wedding’ 2. Scroll down to ‘my details’ 3. Once you have clicked on ‘my details’, scroll down again 4. At the end of this section there will be a drop down box next to ‘privacy settings’ under ‘wall permissions’ 5. Click on the drop down box and select public – people can now post links on your wall and befriend you!
