Been a while since I've been on here but been super busy with not long to go!
Anyhow picking music for the church and there is a song I wanted to have as we walk out as man and wife but there is one lyric in it that I am worried as to whether it would be deemed inappropriate.. Its UB40 I Cant Help Falling In Love and they mention the word "Sin" I know its daft but want to be respectful to my reverend
Thanks All
xx

Love that song. I don't think it would be a problem. Have you got an email address or phone number for the vicar to double check? X

If it is a problem you could maybe walk down to the instrumental but it shouldnt be.
I can't see it being an issue. Many church hymns have the word sin after all. I would only expect objections to swear words or sexual language. I've been attending church all my life, I was in my church's leadership team until I stepped down to be a mum, and I'm a minister's daughter so grew up watching the running of the church. The kind of church where they would refuse that song would be an ultra-traditional one where only one way of doing things is acceptable. Most churches are accommodating, they have to be.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Mrs Wade, I don think it will be an issue at all. Maybe confirm with the vicar so that you are being polite and respectful but if they say no I would be completely shocked.
