Hi All, I'm sure it's been asked before but I'm looking for something really really special for my dad. He has literally been the best guy you could ever ask for my whole life and has done everything for my fiance and I (including letting us live with him to save for a house). Please can you help me think of gift ideas for him for the wedding? I don't want the usual cufflinks, tankard, photo frame, socks stuff - he doesn't use hankies, he doesn't play golf... I'm at such a loss! Please help!

How about a slap up meal.
My parents have been a god send to us over the last 12 months and when we move into our house we are booking them a meal at a Michelin star restaurant for just them and my aunt (who has helped us in a massive financial way). Without those 3 we wouldn't be where we are and would probably be on the streets so it meant a lot to thank them in a big way.
Me and OH will be their taxi for the night.
Met in 2009
He proposed Jan 2014
Will become Mrs P 7th October 2017

I would say a fancy meal somewhere or a weekend stay in a nice hotel - try having a look at R3d Lett3r D@ys / v1rg1n 3xp3ri3nc3 d@ys for some inspiration.
I booked my dad a racing experience in an @st0n m@rt1n followed by a 3 course meal at Br@sser13 bl@nc for his birthday.
Part of our parents' gifts for the wedding is also afternoon tea at a posh hotel.
