I'm looking for some hay bales, there are no local sellers on the b@y as theyre all 60+miles away.
Does anybody know where I could hire some? I only need 10/15.
    Thanks.

Try calling some local farms. They may be able to help you direct.

Where in the country are you?
Most stable yards will be able to get ypu some although i would suggest straw rather than hay, its cheaper, more likely to stay in its bale and less of a fire hazard

Oh I thought straw and hay was the same thing?! Shows how much I know.

I'm in Wigan. I called the stables close by but its all for the cattle/animals.

Hay is grass, straw is either oat or barley stems.
The hay is softer but prone to falling out of the bales and not as tightly packed so more of a fire hazard.
People will not hire out hay as it is animal feed and contamination by alcohol is dangerous to the animals, howecer straw is bedding and morw people will hire it out

Give me a few hours this evening (im wih my horse now) and ill see what i can source for you

One QQ, if I buy the straw now, will it last until September or do I run the risk of it mulching and rotting??

if you keep it out of the rain it will be fine. So pop it on a pallet and cover with a tarpaulin
