    Hi all!

I've just had my engagement ring back from valuation and now I want to get it insured!
From what I can gather on previous threads, a lot of people add their rings to their home/contents cover. I don't have that, so I'm looking for advice for independent insurers!
    Any ideas?

Also, I'm getting the diamond re-set into a new band soon, as the current one is on its last legs.
Should I wait until I have it in the new band to insure, or doesn't that matter?

I'm not sur on it, if you are just insuring the diamond then you could insure now but otherwise wait as it might not be insured when you get it put into the new band

When we got engaged, we decided to get contents insurance. When we looked into it, we found out it covers our fishing gear and things like TV and computers.

The main thing I would point out with contents insurance is that you make sure that you are covered for items if you are taking them outside the home.
