    Hi all!

My fiance and I are planning to get married in May 2017.

Maybe ambitious of us (!), but we are looking for:

    - a venue we can hire for a weekend (2 nights, fri to sunday) but would consider mid-week over 2 days too

    - a venue which we can make our own, basically a blank canvas as we want to decorate ourselves

    - somewhere we can organise the catering and guests can bring their own drinks, without extortionate corkage charges

    - accommodation on site for up to 80 people as we will have lots of guests coming from overseas

I have had a look on group [link removed] which has brought up some good places, but just wondering if anyone has done anything similar and as any recommendations.

A wedding license would be nice but is not a priority as we can do the legal bit separately.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

EDIT - NO LINKS PERMITTED ON THE FORUM AS PER RULES.

A field, have a big marquee and a festival type wedding with people camping there, have a licence held there as well if you do the legal stuff before.

A village hall, blank canvas, decorate to your own taste.

A beach for the licence and then a beach cafe for reception.

What sort of budget? and what Location? I know of 2 or 3 places around here that cover all your wants but we're in Cornwall so not sure if we're local to you?

There's a place in the Lakes that does yurts and tents for accommodation, not sure that is relevant for you.

    Thanks for the replies!
@Mrs D2B, we are not too fussy about location, we will have it anywhere if we find the right location.
As far as budget goes, no idea! I have no clue what is considered the "right price" for something that we want. Our plan is to get some quotes and go froom there. If you could send me the links, that would be great! Not sure how to un-restrct my page though...can you PM me?
