OK, so this may sound strange, but.. What do you do with your engagement ring on the day? Do you wear it to the ceremony then discreetly take it off when you get there before the rings bit? Or not wear it at all, or just take it off at the ring bit?

Seems a silly question but hey ho.

Most people wear it on their ring finger on the other hand, at least for the ceremony x

Yeah, I put mine on the ring finger of my right hand then moved it over while we were signing the register. If you didn't want to do that, could you give it to MOH/ chief bridesmaid or someone to look after it til you're ready to put it back on? Xx

I like the idea of putting it on your right hand (if it fits :P) I think I will be doing that, you don't want to thumble around changing the rings during the exchange xoxo

I'm not sure I want to put my engagement ring back on on the day... for the ring photos I think I'd prefer just to have my wedding ring on, not sure if I can be bothered faffing about with it... I will probably just leave it somewhere safe in the hotel room and pop it back on the next morning.

I've not even received my ring yet (apparently OH has ordered it now at least). I am a divorcee, and even though I didn't really miss my rings after my divorce, it's like my finger remembers what it felt like and since we got engaged it's sort of looking for it haha!
