    Hi all,

When is the best time to send save the dates? Is it once you've booked the venue and have your date, or perhaps a year beforehand?

We sent ours about 13 months before, I think that is time enough unless it is a destination wedding, might need a bit more notice fore that. x

It all really depends on what day it's on, because mines on a Friday, I'll be sending mine a year before hand :) especially considering we have some family that has to do a lot of travelling xoxo

We are sending ours in May / June for October next year but that is only because we are including details of our new house with them.
The standard is 9 - 12 months before.

We'll be sending ours around Christmas time so we can include them with xmas cards. I was debating whether or not to have save the dates but we do have a couple of people who are travelling from abroad so we should have them!

We sent ours as soon as the date was set and all confirmed with the church and reception venue. Meant we sent them around 13 months before the big day.

We've just sent ours out due to us getting married on a Thursday and its in school term so know have to give notice for kids to have the days off school without being charged! I think it's completely up to yourselves and what circumstances, if we were getting married on a weekend we would have done it 12 months before :) xx

    finally became Mrs B 22nd June 2017!!

Its standard to do 12 months before but I think you can probably do it as soon as you set the date and have the venue booked.

I'll be sending mine very soon and I have an entire seventeen months left!
I don't think it matters too much when you send them as long as it's at least 6 months. I didn't want to wait, especially as half of our guest list will be travelling and will have to stay overnight.

We sent our save the dates about 15 months before the wedding and then formal invites about 4 months before the wedding.
