I was wondering if anyone has ideas of what I can get my bridesmaids to keep them warm on the day? Does any one have any pictures of their bridesmaids in shrugs or cardigans? Many thanks :)

"Last time" my bridesmaids had colour coordinated organza stoles. It was Christmas and threatening snow and it kept the chil! Off. Ifyoiu want something warmer a cashmere pashmina would work.

I'm thinking potentially a faux fur bolero type thing

My bridesmaids had stoles made of the same material as the dresses, but that was an August wedding. For something more substantial, I would say pashminas or boleros. If you can't get them in the same colour as the dresses you could probably get ivory or white, whichever your dress is, or maybe silver or gold.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Mine had cream pashmina's for the evening if they got chilly, I don't think they wore them until quite late though if they were outside chatting.

I've had cream pashminas on both occasions that I was a bridesmaid. The first time I did need it later in the evening, as the reception was in a marquee and therefore not so warm. On the second occasion the reception was in a hotel so I didn't use the pashmina at all. I didn't want to wear it in church, and we weren't outside much until the photos, where again it was nice not to have them on. Fortunately the weather was really good that day.

Robyn I've posted a picture of my bridesmaids from last time in my photo album if you wish to take a look?

I have bought mine silver pashminas. Their dresses are purple and the accessories and shoes are silver. I found them in @ccessorize in the sales. X

Depends on when you are getting married Robyn, and how warm they need to be.

For winter a faux fur stole would look gorgeous and you could have one too.

A fancy poncho type cover up could also be nice.

Thank you so much for all your suggestions and for the photo Wundatigga, they're all really helpful. I'm getting married this coming April (16th), so it could be boiling hot or freezing cold!! I just don't want them to be cold if the weather is rubbish.
