So I've been dress shopping and I kept returning to this dress (on two separate shopping trips!)

I just want some honest opinions on it. I'm quite shy, so I'm a bit scared its a bit 'out there' and will terrify people. I do feel fab in it though, don't get me wrong. I think it's because I was expecting to fall in love with a mermaid style dress and this feels much bigger. What do you think guys?
