Just really after some thoughts and advice.

We set our wedding date for 25 June 2016 back in July and have managed to sort the venue, DJ, transport, accommodation for me the night before, photographer, my dress, save the dates and I have now made and sent all the day time invites and this weekend starting to make all the evening ones. We are also going to talk to our venue to discuss the little detail and go and check out another suit for the H2B.

In one way things are progressing really well but I'm having a bit of a "lull". Invitations have taken forever and I keep procrastinating to get them done, even though I've had great feedback from those who have received them so far. I just feel like there is so much to do but looking at the check lists I can't work out where to start with the rest of it. It doesn't help that we are renovating the house at the same time so money is well in demand and not really there, my other half is also selling his other house that he currently rents out.

I just want to bury my head away for a month but know that there isn't really time to do that as the wedding is in 5 months.

Has any brides/brides to be got any hints or tips to get my mind back on track/focus and not feel daunted with everything that's still to be done? The thought of picking flowers is just mind numbing as I don't know where to start or what I like/will go with the theme (seaside!)

    Hi Vikki

Panic not. I've not even sent or started on my invitations yet and I am getting married the week before you - 18 June. I wouldn't stress what other people have done and compare yourself - sounds like you've sorted the bulk of everything out so breathe! By talking to your venue as well, they'll get you back on track and help you to focus on what you need to still do.

With regards to the flowers, I would book some appointments with local florists, tell them your theme and usually they will come up with suggestions for you. I found a great local florist who totally got my theme - vintage - and started showing me what she would do and it was exactly what I want. The florist will know what will work and what won't and what will compliment, so don't fret too much. If money is a bit tight, have you considered fake flowers? You can get some amazing ones that look real and authentic for a fraction of the price.

    Good luck xx

I would write everything down that still needs doing and from there you can sort a logical plan of action in your head. Seeing it all written down may help rather than having all the thoughts flying round your head and stressing you out. You still have plenty of time to sort everything out so don't stress yourself out over it. Doing things little and often helps me I find, that way you chip away at a long list relatively quickly without even really noticing! xx

Can you draft in dome help from bridesmaids to help with the invites. Might make it feel easier X
Write a list of what's to do and prioritise them. Delegate what you can or just ask people to help you to take some pressure and reduce the time.
As for florists I'd book appointments with as many as possible so that you get the idea of what you want and can then fine tune who you want to go with. Also take a look at p1ntr3st to get ideas
