Is it a responsibility of the Bride and Groom to get confetti for the guests or do the guests normally buy this for themselves?
I know there are a lot of suppliers coming out now selling different confetti's etc... just not sure whether that is something that we need to cater for in the budget?
Thank you, Cord x

I think most guests tend to bring their own confetti but its up to you if you want to provide it. At my friends wedding in May, almost everyone had brought some and we had so much in the box we shared it with people that hadn't got any so they could join in too. X

I wouldn't expect to go to a wedding and be given it, I have always taken it with me,

I went to a wedding in June and due to the venue only allowing a certain type, the best men had buckets and everyone took a handful :-)- more and more venue only allow bio degradable and some only allow real petals
CommentAuthorJoanneH4
Some venues will help provide the confetti but others you or your guests would have to get them. It depends on where you are getting married
I would expect guests to bring their own, or the majority of them anyway so that there was enough for everyone. It might be an idea to get a few more boxes/cones yourself just in case - I think we'll just ask people if they plan on bringing their own and see from there if we need to supply any extra xx

I bought quite alot of boxes from the bay of e, as I didn't want to rely on people remembering to bring it.

To me its not essential so I don't mind if people don't bring it. I have always taken some to every wedding I have been to though

Most people usually bring a box .. If you really want to make sure everyone has confetti maybe buy a couple of boxes and like someone else suggested put it in a couple of buckets so people can grab a handful if theyve forgotten some

usually the groom and bride..

It's actually the guests that should bring it, but we wanted a specific photo so although our guests threw their own, we bought confetti cannons for our bridesmaids to fire at us and the flower girls/Paige boys... They were cheap from the bay and it was epic! (Photographers words)

I've seen some make your own cones on the bay as well as confetti for a reasonable price that I like the look of. My 3 child bridesmaids have each got a basket to carry so I'm gonna put some of the cones in there and give them a 'job' to hand them out to guests xx
CommentAuthorCharlotteE98
My Sister provided confetti at her wedding, and made the cones to put it in. We didn't provide it. Our guests bought their own, but we asked MIL to buy some extra just in case. I bought a box for my Niece as a little extra present to go with her jewellery too
CommentAuthorKerryBolderson2be
as far as i know the guests buy the confetti.. if your wanting something life rose petals instead or only certain colours then make sure you put this on the information for the invitation x

I've never heard of these cannon things .. Maybe have a look to invest in some and bribe the children with them that if they are deadly quiet and still in church they can have one!

Wow Lease I love the Flowergirl/Bridesmaids dresses - where did you get those from?
The last couple of weddings I have been too, I have taken confetti with me but not many other people tend to these days. I would say if you want a photo with confetti then you would be best to provide some as a back up. I have seen some which would work really well with our colours/theme but haven't checked yet whether it is allowed at our venue. If it is then I will probably be buying some and guests can use that. Our Flower Girl can hold it in a basket and hand it out. Every is different in what they will allow and also where you able to throw it etc.

Thank you, I'll post the link on your wall! They were £52 each (cheaper if you want, the dress is £36, then you add what you want, petals, sash, flowers etc in any colour)
U.K. Based company too!

We couldn't use it as we got married in a hotel with no grounds as such there are quite a few venues that won't allow it
