Okay, so I thought Saturday I may have found the dress, but now I am not so sure as am questioning why I didn't get that "this is the one" moment.

How many dresses did you try on before you found "the one?" I am not sure if I have tried on too many, but have potentially whittled it down to 3 dresses - what does everybody think?

They are all lovely. I personally prefer the first one. My dress was the 4th I tried on and stopped at that.

I prefer 2 and 3, think 2 stands out more due to the detailing on it,

Do you think being 5ft nothing - one dress would be better for my height? I do love dress 2, but not sure if I should as is a ballgown and virtually everywhere says if you're petite avoid a ballgown!

It depends what shape you prefer and what suits you. A ball gown did nothing for me

I think I tried on 5/6 of what I though I'd go for but the last one I tried was completely not what I thought I wanted, tried it, loved it, felt like a princess, a real bride and so bought it 19 months before our wedding date xx

I like number 2. I refuse to try on dresses until I have lost some weight. I hate the way I look at the moment so can't see me loving anything on me. Starting SW next week.

Lady C - you look lovely in your photo. Thanks - 2 was the one my mum & sister cried, but just concerned ballgown on a 5 footer will make me look silly!

I tried on about 6-7 dresses but my mind kept going back to "the one" which is how I knew it was the one. I prefer the first one but it's one thing having someone say they prefer a certain dress from looking at a picture of it on a model, and a totally different thing actually seeing the dress on you. I would go and try all 3 on again and see how you feel xx

    Love the middle one.

I tried on around 20 odd dresses in total but went back to get the 6th dress I tried on.

I tried 3 in total and fell in love with the second one I tried but I wanted to try a ballgown just to say I had.

I am only 5ft 3" and it made me feel ridiculous but you could try it on and it will be fab, it depends on the person really :)

Mine is A-Line so it's still a bit pouffy but not full on meringue!

I was the same Emma! I knew I probably wouldn't go for a princess ballgown but the little girl in me just HAD to try one on! I was really surprised by just how big it was and how much material there was, I felt absolutely swamped!!

I'm 5ft 6" and tried a ball gown and it looked ridiculous. I looked like one of those barbie dolls you put over loo roll!

I think it completely depends one the individual for which dress suits. If you love the ball gown style then have a ball gown. But I think Flossie is right - go back and try them on again and see what you think x

I've just today ordered my dress after trying on over 150!! I was starting to think that I would never have that 'moment' and wasn't expecting to buy anything today, so didn't bring any money with me, as it was a Trunk show and the dresses were a little different to what I was used to.. BUT then the third dress I tried on today, I just knew the second I put it on that I LOVED it, and it was 'The Dress'! I only wanted to alter one little thing on it, but it ticked every single box apart from within budget!
My budget was originally £2K, and this dress is £7K!! But with 30% off because it was at a Trunk show, I got it down to £5K! So Yer, I went ridiculously over budget, but it's the most beautiful dress I've ever put on, and I knew it was mine!
I personally think, that If you have any reservations, or second guess it, then it just isn't the 'one'. Don't go so over budget like I did, but don't settle either! If you have the time, keep looking until you find it! Xx

Lovely dresses. Number 1 is my favourite though. I'm in the same boat... tried over 20 dresses and they were gorgeous but none of them really stood out to me so I'll carry on looking.

Nikki - can i ask what dress you bought? Wish I could stretch my budget that far as I did find my dream dress from pronovias. It's 7.5k so it's not going to happen but hopefully I can find something similar x

Thanks futureMrsB - didn't actually end up with any of those! FINALLY found the dress on Friday after going to try on number 1 - ended up having travel hour to try on number 1, but when I put it on, I didn't feel special enough! Anyway lady in shop got another one of the rail, I never would haev considered it, but it felt so right - so must have been about dress 20!!!!

Good luck - it's not easy!

@FutureMrsB I put it in my photo album, it's from ***R1k1 D@1@1, and the pictures do it no justice!
My original two front runners were ****Pr0n0v15 too! But we're ALOT cheaper! The 'Pria' was my fave at £1900, and the 'Tarifa' was my other fave at £2300! But then I went to the Trunk weekend and I just knew I had to have it, good luck finding the one hun! Xx
