Me and my husband-to-be are the same height (5ft7) which is fine day to day BUT I love wearing heels when dressed up. They always make me feel thinner and more feminine. The problem I have is my h2b HATES me wearing heels as he doesn't like when I'm taller than him :/ I kind of feel like it's my big day so I should wear the footwear I want, but then on the other hand, I don't want him to feel uncomfortable on his day either :/ Dilemma! what to do? what to do??!

This is the perfect excuse to get 2 pairs of shoes! On a serious note, I personally think you should do what you feel comfortable with. What does your oh think about you wearing high heels on the big day?

He's not over the moon with it at all lol. He says he doesn't like the thought of me being taller than him, having to reach for first kiss etc lol!

My h2b is only a little bit taller than me and I'll be wearing small heels on the day (mainly because I can't walk in big ones!) so he is having a top hat so he still look taller. Would this work for you? X

It sounds like he's maybe unhappy because he's a bit insecure about his height; if it was me I'd wear flats or kitten heels so it's not obvious the height difference this way he doesn't feel silly ... Remember all the photos will show the height difference and looking back on them might make him dissappointed / upset
I think if it were me I would wear kitten heels too and also suggest to h2b about a hat, but then I know my OH doesn't really suit a hat- I think if you were like 3-4 inch then that would be too much but should be fine with kittens :-)

would he wear cuban heels? or whatever they are called? if he pulls his face, remind him you are trying to compromise with him by giving him a bit of height whislt also getting what you want as well. i wore heels and was a little bit bigger than my husband. wasn't an issue. You can't make him grow, sure you could wear flats, but if you are comfier in heels then a middle ground needs to be found to bump him up an inch or so and you maybe wear a smaller heel.
