I'm thinking of making my own activity packs so that they match the rest of the stationary and save a few pennies.

    so far I have
colour in the bride and groom
    word search
    decorate the wedding cake
    colour in the brides flowers
    tic-tac-toe

What else can I put in it?

Are you including packs of colour pencils or having them on the table itself? We are thinking of doing the same, can't think of anything else ATM but maybe g00gle it and see what comes up :) are you just printing them off g00gle or ordering somewhere specific? I've seen people attach them as a booklet with ribbon that matches your wedding colour. Are you doing them as the kids favours or as extras? We r stuck what to do for kids as will have sweet cart so don't really want to do sweets for them x

I'm making them on publ1sh3r Mrs C then just printing them myself so will hopefully be the same design as our wedding stationary But will get a few crayons to put with each.
not sure whether instead of or as well as favours as our favours are costing pittance so doesn't make much difference to us. depends what we out in the boxes I guess. I think they are nice as a favour as they are

When we get married they will be
    2 aged 2
    2 aged 3
    1 aged 4
    1 aged 5
    and 1 aged 8

Make it into a booklet. I will print it on A4 then fold into an A5 booklet and tie it together with ribbon I think

That sounds nice. Our children's activity packs didn't actually link into the theme. My mum wrote children's books about an island inhabited by four types of animal, squirrels, moles, otters and hedgehogs, so we gave them pictures of those animals to colour in. We also gave them bubbles as favours, and we had crayons in the middle of each table that had children on it, more crayons where there were more children. If you need another page what about a blank page where they can draw or write something to remind them of their favourite bits of the day.

What about a page with a blank photo frame to draw a pic of the bride and groom or something

Or finish the sentences like the best part of the day was ....
    I ate ....
    I wore ....

What about make a windmill? They can colour in the shape and have a helpful adult cut it and pin it to a stick. I always liked doing that when I was a kid. x

Rachel I love that idea. Do you not think its a bit too much for most of the kids bearing in mind the ages

Kirsty I loved them too. Was trying to keep it as just the book though do its not too messy.

I showed OH the printout yesterday and he loved it :)

Mini touchable bubbles, I got about 80 of them on the bay for about £5 and they were an absolute hit, even with the adults. They stick to everything and last for ages.

That's a good idea Erin. Will look at that closer to the date :)

Found 10 packs of 4 crayons on the bay for £2.25. Bargain I thought so will be getting that the go with the pack

Not done any more on it Mrs C and not got a finished one yet. Still waiting for the card to arrive (hopefully a sample will be at home when I get there later. Haven't been there since Monday

Not sure if our venue will allow bubbles. Will have to ask. Might leave it closer to the time as they have only just redecorated so are very precious understandably

if you can, buy non toxic wash out pens instead of crayons, to use crayons you have to press really hard when drawing and most 2 and 3/4 year olds don't get on with crayons because of this, much easier to draw for little ones with pens.. 2 and 3 year olds will pretty much only just draw and don't understand colouring in yet, so def have a blank pages for their doodling and stickers ! def get stickers, that age love them :) ( I run toddler and baby classes)

For the slightly older ones I have ordered wax crayons in the kids names, the letters are quite small but I loved the personalised edge to them. I definitely agree with the sticker idea!!

Sure. not sure when that will be.
I finalised the inside bits changed the spot the difference to a join the dots as that was easier to find and have printed 20 (only have 8 children) but means that we have plenty we can play with until we have it how we want it.

now thinking of getting each child a box with goodies in.. like a party bag from the wedding. They will get a favour box the same as the adults but will have a pack of child friendly sweets rather than fancy chocs

Sounds good. :) we have 22 child's. Yes 22!! And that just the day so we will need lots haha although the ages vary from 6months to 16yrs so might do 12+ same as adults ( making lip and moustache choc lolly pops) and then might do 3-12 the booklets, bubbles, crayons, stickers but not sure if it would suit 3-12 yrs and then under 3 maybe a little toy or something? Also thinking of having a toy box maybe but not sure. We are having a sweet cart in evening so didn't want to do sweets for kids but may give a little choc lolly x
