    Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone is using a wedding stylist to dress/decorate their venue or if they plan on doing it themselves/the venue include it? If you're hiring someone, how much did it cost?

    We have had to hire one as our venue is in the middle of nowhere and they don't let you go in the day before to decorate (its just a marquee and a barn type place).

    We had someone in to do the centre pieces and as far as I'm aware, the venue done the rest as we purchased it ourselves (table runners/crystals)

    On so many blogs I read lately almost everyone goes into the venue the day/morning before and decorates, I'm a bit miffed we can't haha!

    We have a few different things being done, ceiling drapes, chair covers and sashes, cake is delivered and set up by the baker, but the venue do the rest xx

    Ours is the same room but its converted after the ceremony but the seat covers etc are to be in before the guests and then the rest is upto the venue we just need to drop things off xx

    Ahh ours is too seperate rooms but we don't need chair covers as they're wooden chairs. The stylist is doing the centre pieces, flowers and other general decorations, we have bunting and things like vintage suitcases to style the marquee otherwise its quite plain.

    we have a separate room for our drinks reception but our venue is huge and the main room is awesome so to have it all in there is brilliant! even if we had separates i would still have the same people doing the same things, but our venue do the centre pieces and flowers for the top table and we just have to drop off what we want set up xx

    That sounds fab, wish we could have done it that way but its nice knowing the stylist will have everything sorted for us. Just going to leave it till a few months before the wedding and then meet with her to pin down exactly what its going to look like. Do you have a colour scheme?

    Yeah you wont need to worry about anything! Yes our colour scheme is silver and sparkle, got silver/grey bridesmaid dresses and ivory and silver bouquets, chair sashes are also silver organza and im having ivory and silver glitter invites, our cake will also have sparkle on it, have you decided yet? xx

    Oooh I love a bit of glitter! We are having pastel pink and lilac. The bmaids dresses are a pale almost blue kind of lilac. Bouquets will have a mix of pink and lilac. Some of the bunting that comes with the marquee is a mix of different vintagey pastels so just going with the flow really x

    We are getting married in a registry office in Gibraltar then going for meal at a local restaurant, we have told them it is our wedding meal and they will decorate the table and I have ordered a small wedding cake from them. We also have a wedding planners for Gibraltar to help sort out paper work. There will only be 6 of us for the registry and meal afterwards
    For the blessing at home in Spain we also have wedding planners they will decorate the church and where we are having canapes and the meal afterwards, they will also arrange transport for everyone to be collected. There will be around 40 people for the blessing.

    Be have got a venue dresser and she is fab and doing everything from chair covers, centre pieces, table plan, wedding favors, candy cart and a few more. Love getting what I want and none of the stress of finding and putting together x

    We have someone doing it for us...... She will arrive on the morning of the wedding and set everything up for £20 Extra

    Chair covers & sashes
    Swags and bows for top table, cake table and postbox table
    Providing a postbox
    Sweetie cart with sweets, jars & bags decorated in our colour theme
    Napkin bows in organza bows
    Set up of place cards, favours and table numbers
    And all of our centre pieces

    Worth every penny and her work is stunning x

    Our venue does table clothes with runners, chair covers with sashes, centre pieces, cake table, flowers on top table etc. the only thing I'm doing the evening before is putting hessian and lace bows on the pew ends in church and I hate the thought of even doing that!! Lol

    We had someone who dressed the venue for us including table centers, chair covers etc. She did one amazing job. She also did our bouquets and button holes.

    Great to know lots of people have had someone in to do it. I am so excited to find out how our venue will look! Saw a photo posted on the venue's fb page yesterday of a sweetie table they did for a wedding last weekend and it looked fab xx

    The florist is doing the centre pieces/flowers, our venue decorate the rest of the room. We get married in a separate room to the wedding so it'll be done the morning of the wedding x
