Hi all, less than 2 weeks and starting to get stressed.
Sadly my step dad can't make wedding due to an operation 2 days before wedding, he was due to do reading so we asked someone else who isn't religious but agreed. However today they have messaged me saying how they feel weird doing a biblical reading and if possible can we choose someone else.
I was thinking of asking my dad but in a church wedding is this ok or is it other people who should do it?

    Thanks

Does it have to be biblical or could that person read something else?

My stepdad did the religious reading at our wedding and my sister did the non religious one. SIL had the vicar and her FIL do the readings at her wedding so anybody can do it if they're willing
