Hi,

This is my first post so please bear with me.

I'm a bridesmaid at my best friends wedding on Saturday & although myself & another bridesmaid paid £100 each towards the cake, it doesn't sit well with me not buying a gift to take on the day.

I don't want to spend more than a further £25 as between the 2 hen do's (2 different outfits, shoes,bags, hair do's for each), hair & make-up trials (I've had 3) paying for hair, make-up, shoes for the day & an expensive overnight stay in the hotel the night of the wedding by myself & the £100 towards the cake as I previously mentioned, I've spent a small fortune & had to forgo a holiday this year.

All this being said I really don't grudge it I think it's a real honour to be asked.

I just need your opinion on whether a photobook gift with photos from the wedding day would be a good idea.

I've got a personalised photocard from ****m00np1g & I was going to put a sheet of paper in it with a little ditty saying something along the lines of

Your wedding photobook gift is on the way,
With lots of pictures from your big day"

That's all I've got so far is anyone clever with words & can come up with something better.

Also I'd appreciate your thoughts on the gift idea.

My sister and best mate did me a photo book and messages All printed in it for my Hen, with photos of me with all my mates and then a personal message from each of them. Almost burst into tears at my Hen when they gave it to me.

In Dreamland hope I get the same reaction as your bridesmaids did with yours.

The day went without hitch, the sun even came out to play with 2 pouring days either side of it & honestly the bride has truly never looked more beautiful. I've taken literally hundreds of photos & a few I hope the photographer missed like the groom looking at the bride when she wasnt watching or the kiss the bride gave her Dad when they were sharing their father daughter dance. Now here comes the hard part trying to choose x
