We are in the process of planning our big day but are totally overwhelmed by everything. Looking for nay tips that we can gleam from and helpers out there? My sister got married at an amazing venue in Leamington spa, not a place that spring to mind to get hitched but Warwickshire is really beautiful. Most wedding venues are but she went for this event because of the extra stuff they threw in. a discounted caterer, music as well, I heard there are places that actually throw in a full on wedding planner. Any suggestions would be welcome. **************** dining events are certainly on the list but I really wanted to shop around maybe get a recommendation for a place that throws in more extras, any suggestions????

EDIT ~ VENUE NAME STARRED OUT AS THIS IS A FORM OF ADVERTISING WHICH IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE FORUM, ALSO PUT INTO THE RIGHT CATEGORY FOR YOU.

We are getting married in church but having after stuff at a hotel and they do packages which includes everything from food to decorations and entertainment if we want plus a toast master. Their event organiser will also be on hand to prepare stuff and do things for us on the day. If your wanting packages I would look up local hotels and golf courses ect that are able to put packages together for you. But if you have places you really like always ask if they'll do you a package and if they include things as your be surprised what people can offer and if not they usually send you in the right direction, don't be afraid to Ask for things and I remember reading somewhere that with companies they don't usually give discount but can give extras so if they can't reduce price always ask for free things to be thrown in :) we got an upgrade and a room for my parents on the wedding night too ( they are having our little ones on the wedding night) I'm also going to be asking for extras in our room when we start doing the fine details too :) but defo look around and go for viewings and get a feel for the place and person in charge of event planning x

We went for a local hotel in Cardiff and they had everything included in the package, including all the catering, a dedicated planner, room hire, a room for us, discounted rooms for a certain number of guests, table linen, and menu cards and seating plan if we didn't want to provide our own. They also had recommendations for things like decorators and DJs. I'd say local hotels are definitely a good place to start. They will usually have everything available that you might need as they will get a lot of weddings, and they have the advantage that you and your guests can stay there on the wedding night.
