so it's all go go go only 5 weeks to go to the big and what happens... the clutch on my car goes :(
I was planning to have some floral displays at the entrance and in the ceremony room and table, but at a cost of £400 I'm having to cut back due to car repairs being £800+
I've been looking at artificial bay trees and can't decide if I like them or not, has anyone else got any ideas or pictures that will give me some inspiration or could recommend anyone in the Leicester area that is reasonably priced. I'm starting to feel the stress.
Thank you ladies

Oh no, what a pain that something so expensive has gone wrong.
Have a look on the bay for cheap flower displays, you'll most likely get some for around £100 I reckon.

What a nightmare! Sorry to hear you need to cut back.
Artificial flowers are a good cheaper option. If you can get some DIY help Dun31m has lots of very nice and affordable artificial flowers which you can then keep forever or sell on after the wedding x

If you have a H@me B@rgains near you they sell them for about £15-£20 each I think. I'm planing on getting them for our "paint the roses red"

I was going to suggest H0me B@rgins too!
We had a trial go at our centepieces last night which are branches with fairy lights etc. I'm wondering if a larger version of this might work for you as you can just cut a few branches from the garden and decorate as you wish? X

Thank you for idea ladies. We opted for giant letters in the doorway.which need to be sanded down now as my FIL to be made and although I'm grateful they need a little tidying up. With 4 days to go I'm now in panic stations about the lack of time and cooperation from my cbm. Who seems to think she's centre stage and keeps question my decisions. In her opinion her make should be done last as she's also doing my hair, plus she's he'll bent on not wearing the shoes I've asked her to and keeps saying things that really annoy me. I swear she is driving me mad.

Thanks everyone.
Thats lovely to have the specially made letters from your FIL. I'm sure he'll get them finished on time!
But what a shame about your cbm. I would politely tell her that the decisions have been made because it is what you and your oh want and could she not be so rude about them as she is there to support you. Your make up should be done last as it is more important that yours looks perfect for longest, whether she is doing your hair or not. She can always touch hers up after she has done your hair.
With shoes, I have asked my girls to wear silver heels for the ceremony and formal photos etc, but have said they can change into flats for the evening do if they wish. Perhaps this is a compromise you could make with her to shush her.
Hope you have a wonderful day x

Hi Kirsty. I did speak to her and things seem to be better. It's now the night before my wedding and I'm gutted to notice my dress hasn't beeb finished properly, hem is uneven, underskirt nit stitched to the dress properly and lots of other thing, I'm close to tears. This seems to be a theme as the bm dresses hems are not stich ed properly, a bolero made for my fg has one delve on ger then the other and not stitched properly. I could cry

Oh no! Can you get any emergency safety pins? I would take a few pictures of the problems and send them to the seamstress so you can get some money back for rubbish alterations. That's really not on!
I hope you have a fantastic day despite all this and your cbm really supports you especially after the dress Issues. X

MrsS2b I hope you have had a lovely day

Safety puns and lots of tacking stitches did the trick. But on the day I didn't really worry to much. Our day was amazing and it all went well. My husband made he smile when I saw him waiting for me
