So I love the brooch bouquets and the lady who is doing my flowers holds a workshop to make your own and it's £250-450 depending on which one you choose- well iv seen online quite a few people have made their own and it makes it more personal and I can put personal jewellery in etc iv ordered the materials I need from the bay of e and just need to start gathering up more brooches (I have 14 already) I'm not very crafty but iv watched so many tutorials I'm sure I can give it a good go. Anybody else considering making their own bouquet? Xx

Im using flowers and brooches don't want a whole brooch bouquet personally but they are lovely xx
This is what I'm unsure about wether to have the base as foam flowers then just spot the brooches. What are you using for your base? Are you using foam or just bunching them together? Xx

Pretty :) just out of curiosity are they expensive? I'm tempted to have some pearls put on my bouquets too x
CommentAuthormichgib
Very pretty sazzle, where did you get them from?
CommentAuthorIrishbride2be
I got these from a user that on the bay of e who just sells brooches but I need to go and pick some other designs up and will keep my eye out, iv been told that pr!m@£k is pretty good for getting bits like necklaces or rings but just loop the wire through them. They else weren't too expensive the little ones were about £1.50 and the bigger ones were £2.80. Xx

Oh did they Sarah? The only reason I wasn't using the china ones was because usually they take up to 20-30 days and I didn't want to wait that long, I will have to take a look at them ones then Xx

Ok probably a daft question but do all the brooches have to be round?
CommentAuthorIrishbride2be
No they don't, some iv seen have used rings and even earrings for the bouquet if you have somewhere to loop the wire through and secure it then you can use it Xx

CommentAuthorMrs D2B
Your all so clever, I'll defo be bookmarking this thread to see how your all doing and see if I can gets some hints and tips from you!! Out of curiosity are you just doing brooch bouquets for your own bouquet or are you doing your BM's as well? Also once they are made are they easy to change and adapt? I love the idea of brooch bouquets and I was thinking I might ask my BM's to spend a couple of evenings with me making mine and there own as a kind of bonding session, if I do this I would ask them to provide some pieces which they like or that are special to them so that if they would like they could keep their bouquets and when the time comes they could use them as a starting point for their own wedding bouquet if they would like.

I had already bought my bridesmaid ones online with foam flowers but they are so easy to make I'm annoyed i didn't just do them myself! That would be a lovely idea to have a evening with your bridesmaids :-) a TIP with the wire ladies be careful buying it on the bay of e especially from china as these are copper wire with plated silver so the silver comes off with the pliers and you are left with bits of copper showing through the top of the brooch. The best iv found and the cheapest is H@88y c£@€t and you get 10 meters for only £2! Bargain! They don't sell it in the stores you have to buy it from their online account and you can get it delivered or pick it up from the store for free :-) Xx
