Looking for some advice on how to fasten the lace up at the back of the dress.
My dress fittings have been done with the bow at the top, but I'm wondering if it should be fastened from the top down with the bow at the bottom.
I'm a size 16 and wondering which way would be best.
any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks Jacqui

I've only ever seen it tied top to bottom!! The bow can then be tucked inside the dress, i'll post a link to your wall.

Yup, top to bottom so the bow can be tucked in and hidden away. My dress is a zip and button along the back, I love the look of the buttons, but my bridesmaid dresses are tied at the back... think we all need to practice tying them ;) as although I only have three bridesmaids I can see that being a bit of a hassle on the day
go back to the salon where your fittings have been done and ask them to show someone how to lace your dress. they should have doen that with you. also ask them to show you top to bottom and bottom to top so that you can decide which way you want your dress laced xx

also to get your bust sitting right you need to lean forward & sort your girls out whilst someone tightens the first bit the stand up so they can continue (if top to bottom) makes you girls sit comfortably rather than squished all over the place lol
Find out who you are & do it on purpose!

I've seen it done both ways but I much prefer it done top to bottom then tucked in xx

I can't post the link but if you go on YouTube then search for a video called "How To Lace A Corset Back Gown" there are quite a few tutorials. Very useful for bridesmaids to watch.

Mine was tied top to bottom. I have only seen it done that way. They put my bow on the outside when mine was tied (which I didn't want), I only noticed on the photographs afterwards

I've never heard of it bottom to top either. I would search them both and decide what you like best.

Bottom to top just doesn't make any sense to me. Couldn't see anything on google either.

I had my first fitting on Tuesday night and my dress is lace up. She laced it top to bottom and tied a bow, which can be tucked in if required
