I think you should get those chin masks that are a real photo. Have you seen those?

Hi I love the photo booth idea were having one also!
Feather boas, funny hats, speech bubble signs that can have funny words or sayings on, I was recently at a wedding and they had wordings of just married, bride, groom etc.
We're doing a DIY photo booth too :) I've just searched 'photo booth props' on the bay and 3t$y.. some fab things come up and really inexpensive too :)

This is something I want to do too currently on the look out for someone selling a cheep extravagant mirror/photo frame that I can knock the middle out of for people to stand behind to make the booth then was going to have a box of boa's hats glasses false tash's for people to put on. I like the chalk board idea to write messages tho, would be cool if they do speech bubble shaped chalkboards.... I suppose they wouldn't be too hard to make tho. Are you sure the ipad is a good idea tho? What if someone accidentally drops it? FB keeps popping up all different ad's for apps where wedding guests can add their photos of your wedding for you to access you could ask people to take photos on their phones and get them that way? Just an idea

Wow sounds great. I'd love a photo booth but they are so expensive. Wouldn't do where to start with my own tho with Regards taking the photos and printing etc!

Danielle, we are thinking of just supplying a digital camera and asking guests to take the pics themselves (I'm sure there will be someone they can to take a quick snap), or just use their own phones and take selfies.. we've also thought about providing a selfie stick to make it easier. We would then ask for the photos to be uploaded onto a wedding pics app or onto social media using a dedicated wedding hashtag.. this way we can easily get hold of the pics and can then print them off from there and put into an album etc x

well the idea is to make a stand for it to go on so no one should need to pick it up, my cousin had it at her wedding and it worked well.

I agree with the chalk board we are having those at ours

Some great ideas lots for me to think about! The photo booths we have been looking at are actual booths and they supply all the props. They take 4 photos which are printed onto a wee strip there and then. The guests get a copy then they put a copy into a guest book for us and the guests write a message beside it. But as I say they are expensive. £300+

yes they are sooo expensive, you can get an ap to put on your ipad or phone and it sends it to your emal and their email too :) much cheaper :)

Our photographer is offering a photo booth experience for £75, she brings the props, back drop and takes the pics, so instead of doing it ourselves we did this as I think we wouldn't of been much cheaper finding the props ourselves. Xx

Sounds a good offer for £75. At least that's one less thing for you to worry about sorting as well

Yeah I was thinking that too Danielle, so much easier so I snapped that up along with our wedding photography package. Might be worth while some of you guys suggesting it to your own photographers, they will benefit in the long run doing it and are already there taking pics, can only ask x

Thing for me is I want it to be 'available' all day so people can use it whenever they want (both day guests and evening guests as well), rather than having a specific time for the photos to be taken x

I might suggest it to my photographer but she wouldn't have anyone to take the photos? If she was to take them she would miss out on taking the other photos. Flossie the one I'm thinking on booking is for 3 hours I think that's plenty

That's what I don't like about the actual booths as well.. not only are they expensive but I don't like having a set time limit. I want everyone to be able to float in and out as they please.. so day guests can make use of it whilst photos are being taken, whilst they are waiting for the evening guests to arrive.. then evening guests can obviously use during the evening. We have a whole spare room that we are using for it, so would be a shame to waste the space x

I only have the one photographer to and she does it by herself, it may well be that she is set up in the evening and an amount of time is set aside for it but its just a bit of fun for later on as id rather her catch all the important bits of the day first x

im putting my digital camera on a tripod facing the DIY backdrop and have bought a remote shutter to go with it off the bay of E , so once everyone is in place someone takes the remote shutter and presses the button to take the photo , no need to get anyone to take the photos then and I will have them all on my camera , they quite cheap to buy and work well :)
