There is always quite alot of drama on here (thats fine its what its for)
about bridesmaids who are less than helpful or also making problems
But I wanted to start a thread that we can all say how great our girls are
reasons we picked them, and what they have done /are doing to help us with weddings.

My cousin who is my MOH has probably been least helpful, but she seems to be helping alot more, being more involved now its getting closer, and has said she will wear whatever, and so will her daughter who is being junior bm, and is paying for both dresses and is even excited about having a make up trial after originaly being like , i will do my own, to now , i will have a trial. she is also driving aload of people to the hen.

my other 2 girls have been absolute stars, they did not know each other before this, and now are like besties, they have taken the task of organising the hen, details, etc (which i don't know,kind of nice not knowing,(Im a planner)) and are very helpful when it comes to helping me with things, again are like I will wear whatever and are paying for there dresses.

think they are currently organising a beauty day or something for us bridal party girls, that even my little cousin can do with us. and trying to make sure everyone on the hen is happy and one is trying to get one of my other friends to come, who is saying she not sure she would be comfortable etc as she does not know many.

I love my girls.

August 2011 Got our own place, 2011 Had our Baby Girl,
Dec 2011 Got engaged, July 2015 Getting married! Yay!

My girls are amazing too, what a fantastic thread

My first one-is a close friend from school, she is fantastic, she is great for bouncing idea's off and she is organising my hen herself. She is beyond amazing.

My other two are also amazing, another close friend from school and a work friend.

All three of them are there for me when I need someone to speak to wedding related or not. I love them to bits.

My sister is my one and only Bridesmaid She has been fantastic from the start. She is always giving me advice when I ask for it, She has organised my hen weekend and its been a mega stress for her.

She helped me decide on my wedding dress (I was a mega stress head and she calmed me down)

Basically she is there for me any time I ask for it. Sh talks sense into me, I hope I am as good a Bridesmaid to her as she is to me.

After 7 years and 11 months he proposed to me 18.10.13
Our son is 5 years old and our world
Getting married 15.08.15.
Life hasnt been easy but we have each other :)

Love this post! My MOH is my sister and she is brilliant she is so keen to help with everything, we are going to be making a lot of things ourselves and shes right on board and offered to help with everything which she is really excited about too, she is a hair dresser and has found 2 hair dressers for our hair and is already organising my hen with my best friend who is my bridesmaid, she is also very involved and after a bad experience at her own wedding with her bridesmaids she is set on making it the most stress free time for me. Her little girl will also be my flower girl she will be 3 and half by the time the wedding comes round, I wasn't one of her bridesmaids or I would of made sure she would of had the same experiences as I am! My other bridesmaid is my other best friend we have been friends from school and she doesn't live locally but is still involved and she's also recently got engaged and totally embracing the experience and getting plenty ideas for her own wedding which will be a year after ours.

I feel truly blessed to have 3 such amazing girls by my side and I love them all sooooo much Xxx

This is such a lovely thread, it is lovely when BM's are so helpful and you know they are there for you. Thankfully all of my BM's have been great so far :)

My MOH is my best friend from school who I have been close to for almost 10 years, she is brilliant, she is engaged herself although still yet to set a date but this means she is up for wedding chatter and me sending her endless photos of dresses and wedding things lol. She is also there for me when things stress me out and I need to rant to somebody lol. Her little girl is also my flower girl who will be 3 and a half at the wedding.

My other BM who is also like a MOH is my younger sister, she is just as excited as me for the wedding and has been by my side at every meeting and wedding shopping day I have had so far. She is my best friend and she is so involved in everything and I know if I need her help with anything she will help in any way she can.

My last BM is OH's younger sister, she will only be 16 at the wedding and we are not really close but she is lovely and I thought her being BM would make a nice start to us being sister's. Plus it means a lot to my OH that she is involved in the day. I know she would help me in any way she could too and although at first I thought she may have some teenage strops about the dress etc, she has been amazing and she loves everything I like for my BM's :)

Despite a few hiccups from one of my bridesmaids (although not intentional), they have all been fab so far. Love how they are genuinely so excited about the wedding and are always up for a bit of wedding chat, even if I am boring the brains out of them they never let on and are still enthusiastic. Always asking me questions about what I want, telling me they are there to help if I need anything, etc. etc... When I kept showing them bridesmaids dresses they said it wouldn't matter what i chose as they would wear anything I wanted them to because it is my day.

The nice thing is that we are a group of friends so all know each other really well, so haven't got to worry about them mingling with anyone else or having clashes of personality.. just feels so fun being able to do this together!

One of my bms was engaged and split up with her fiance just a few weeks before we booked our wedding venue and when I asked them to be my bridesmaids. I was a bit worried about upsetting her as it was obviously still very raw but she has been amazing. If it does upset her she certainly doesn't show it.. she has probably been the most helpful and supportive of them all :)

What a lovely idea of a post.

My MOH is my ex boss and best friend, she is great as we both work and cant always meet up but she phones every week to see how the planning is going and if there is anything she can do, she also sends me links etc of things I may be interested in. My other bridesmaid is oh sister, within weeks of meeting oh i was calling her my sister, shes been through a lot as she has anorexia but shes being great with everything even being measured for her dress. I wouldn't change my bridesmaids for anything.
