I am wanting to do my own satin gowns for my bridal party to wear on the morning while getting ready and I REALLY LOVE the idea of doing satin gowns with iron on diamanté gems but have read quite a few places that it is not advised on satin :-( please has anyone on here doing these transfers on satin gowns and has it worked!?!?
Thanks

I'd imagine it would be okay, but I would put a tea-towel over the transfer and gown so you aren't ironing directly onto the gown... that is how I would iron something like that usually. It's just whether the transfer would stick.

When I did a transfer into a cotton tshirt the iron needed to be really hot to melt the transfer. Be careful that you buy good satin ones that can with hold the high temp
Sounds lovely dea :)

That might be an issue for me when I do my hoodies... my iron doesn't get really hot. Might have to borrow someone's lol

If it can iron linen trousers. Which are a nightmare if not tumbled. Then I would think its ok.
