I know I've got 4 months to go but nerves are starting to kick in now!

Everyone is telling me that it will all be fine but I'm beginning to worry about forgetting important stuff and it feels like we still have a long list of stuff to do. I'm not used to being centre of attention so I'm fretting about my walk down the aisle too :o/

Did anybody else feel this way before their big day?

    Hi Charlotte,
im just like you, i have decided i will write myself lists of things to check and check them regularly, so you know things are running to plan, its hard to keep calm as it is such a big and important day and when your not used to it being all eyes on you, its extra stressful, just remember, the minute you set eyes on your H2B, it will be worth the stress, you will have all your best family and friends there and they will just be happy to see you both saying i do,

good luck with it all, deep breaths and a few drinks you will be alright xxx

    Thank you Teresa :o)

I've got a list going but it feels like it's never ending at the moment! And I don't like feeling so disorganised :o/ We've waited such a long time for this, with all sorts of ups and downs along the way, so I just want it to be perfect.

We're getting married in quite a big church aswell so I've got quite a long walk down the aisle!

It always seems so daunting, when you have a long list and you keep adding to it, doesn't it,
i must admit, im just the same really, everyone else always seems so organised and even though i am usually very organised, i feel a little out of touch and behind, i know it will all come together, which is why, i know you will be ok,
give yourself little jobs each day/week/month and the list will soon go down and as you have done stuff, make a list of people to ring to check on, eg entertainment, decoration etc or whatever you need xxx

Also someone else on here might have already done it, and have a little nugget of advice for us to help reassure us, fingers crossed xx

I was fine il until after I got my hair done, was in the room getting ready and bang it hit me, I got so nervous so quickly that the rest of the day I couldn't touch alcohol or food, not a bad thing as remembered the whole day.

If you have your list of things to do, perhaps prioritise it into things that are essential to be done, things that would be good if done and things that you can let slide if they don't get done. If you get all the things done that absolutely need to be done, some of the stress about the little things may not seem so much. Could you also delegate a task to each bridesmaid/groomsman or family to reduce the load on you? I've still got a long way to go but I'm sure I'll feel the same this time next year!! X

My jitters didn't come until the big doors opened and I was about to walk past all of the venue staff lined up. I was cool as a cucumber until then

I'm sure we'll get there. My Mum is doing what she can to help, along with my Stepdad. Even H2B is starting to get into a bit more. He's volunteered to pick up our invites next week when I'm back at work! I'm getting lots of support from some very good friends too :o)

Just going to have to write and re-write lists as the jobs get ticked off!

I was nervous when I got married. That was only 6 days ago, but the only thing I did during the ceremony is concentrate on my H2B at the time and it actually got me through it. As he was also the same, the best thing to think of is that you are getting married and showing your love to each other.

I was nervous in the run-up to the wedding but on the day itself I was totally calm. I think it was a case of realising that there was nothing more that I could do. If you're worried about the walk in you could walk behind your bridesmaids so that you don't feel so exposed.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Elinor I was wondering about doing that. My 2 year old Niece is flowergirl and I wanted her to walk down first. My Half Sister has offered to walk down with her, so that might be an idea. Not that Delilah needs someone to walk with her because she's very confident for her age!

I'm a bit worried about the ceremony with everyone staring at me, and the walk over to the reception venue I know random people will be stopping and pointing

I'm exactly the same!! My wedding is the 26th March as soon as it hit the 1st Jan I got jitters, I know he's the right man and we'll be happy together. I'm worried I've forgotten something major and it'll screw up the day!

Im very anxious about walking in and even to stand outside the door waiting! Ooh almost makes me shiver! I think after a couple of minutes in the people watching wont bother me so much. But the walk is my biggest worry!

I'm really worried about being watched too, I'm not a fan of people staring at me. It doesn't help that my mum has been telling the neighbours when it is so they can come out and watch me get in the car :/

Oh how nice haha! hopefully they'll forget by then, but I think you'll be too excited to be on your way then though, as it's not literally minutes before!
