Hey everyone, Newbie Emma here !! Getting married next year, not a traditional wedding at all, We having a 3 day wedding weekender next October 2-4th :) very DIY we have hired a big country house for 4 days, what we do with it is up to us ! Sooooo excited, I'm loving organising it all and I daydream a lot about our day and coming up with loads of ideas.Im having a bridal crew rather than bridesmaids and its made up of my friends 5 men and 5 women , we have a beautiful 20month old daughter who is going to be our flower girl and we having a Ceremony in the woods conducted by one of my best mates ! followed by champagne afternoon tea, Then silly games then hog roast and a Barn Dance Band..soooo excited about it. , found this website today while browsing dresses. I'm sure I will be asking for advice at some point over the next year :) Anyone else have a DIY wedding weekend ? and anyone else had sit down afternoon tea ? Im struggling to work out whether to have it buffet style or not.. not that these details matter right now, I have plenty of time ! ha.. anyway, hello everyone :)

Thanks , trying to do it for minimal cash - £5,000-6,000 max. But have found a dress I want for £1500.. which is over budget and don't want to cancel a band playing to pay for it ..ha.. so im hoping to find something I love but for cheaper, I have loads of time so I can always go back and get it if find nothing else.. did you spend a lot on your dresses ?? it is amazing though...arghhhhh I do love it.. :)

we not sure, I have never left my daughter with anyone overnight ,my parents live in Scotland and we live south devon and we have no family here. So never tried it, plus we co-sleep and im still breastfeeding and I don't know how long that will go on for, , and im not sure how she will be until we stop co-sleeping I suppose , so going to leave until summer to work it out once we know that its going to be ok then will book something :) its hard to know how she will be .. bless her, or other option is take her with us ! :)

Hey Emma I love the sound of your wedding weekender I'm getting married 23rd October 2015 im trying to turn my wedding into a mini wedding holiday as don't know what to do now since finding out in 11weeks & 1day preggers so will have to think up of a way to have a mini moon with our mini Deaton baby only be about 5months at the wedding!! Enough about ME I do love the freedom you have to plan your wedding and totally make it yours with lots of family and friends involved and tiring the knot in the forest sounds magical and amazing Xxx
