    I need some advice.
I was considering getting some white glitzy flip flops in bulk in varying sizes with a little sign saying to kick off your high heels and dance. But I'm finding it quite expensive and will probably work out around £80 to do this.

So do you think it is worth it? Would it be something you would enjoy and actually use at a wedding? I am worried about spending out for the basket of flip flops to sit there un touched all evening :(

I love the idea, but personally, I probably wouldn't use it.. If I want to take my shoes off I just dance bare footed lol xx

Thanks, that's what I was thinking! It looks so lovely though but might end up just me and my mum in them!

Ok, here in Brazil they always do it for weddings, because we wear flip flops all the time. But I'm not thinking about doing it for my wedding there because it's really expensive and people there don't wear it like we do.

Our flip flops went down a treat with both men and women. We didn't spend a fortune on them, bought them from bee and emm, and Primarni, and got a lovely small decorative suitcase to put them in.

It's a nice idea if you can afford it but won't be missed if you don't have them. Personally I wouldn't use them, you will know if your guests are likely to use them, I knew our guests wouldn't x

It's a nice idea but I can't imagine anyone would expect flip flops then be disappointed to not see any. I took my shoes off at brother in laws wedding and was happy as larry x

We are doing this...we have been travelling asia so we have got lots of oriental style slippers and flip flops...it hasn't cost us much and even if people don't use them all on the night then they can take them home as a gift we will just get any of the leftovers handed out at the end. To be honest I would rather have them and not have people sitting down cos their feet hurt! xx

You can get flip flops quite cheaply, the poundshops and online etc, i wouldnt get loads but its something im thinking of, don't think you need to carry enough to cover all your female numbers, im thinking of maybe half. And just find a container that looks nice somewhere cheap! and make maybe a chalkboard sign for them

I definitely wouldn't swap my shoes that co-ordinate with my purpose bought dress, if anything, I might reluctantly take them off and go barefoot. I don't think flip flops are particularly flattering foot wear, but I have very ugly feet! And not the easiest to dance in either!

I can definitely see that some people could be really appreciative of the gesture (but definitely wouldn't expect it, like April said) so maybe get a few pairs, it's a really thoughtful idea, but I definitely wouldn't buy a pair per guest!

I enjoy this idea and i thought of doing it myself... but the fee's were a bit off putting as i am trying to do everything on a budget..

I would just take off my shoes and party...

Even to cater for half the guests the cheapest I could do it for was £80 plus a basket and sign. Haven't found them for less than 1.80 a pair!
