Including honeymoon, all in, it cost approximately £30k. We did have our dream day and were lucky to have parents from mine and hubby's side contribute.

I know people who have recently got married, or are getting married next year and are paying or have paid a minimum of £15k. We're having an afternoon tea package with extra food in the evening, doing our own entertainment/music and extras, and all told will probably not pay much over £3k. We can't afford much more and don't have families that are in a position to contribute, so we're having what we can afford without going into debt. But we will still be married, and it will still be a lovely day :)

We are doing as much as we can ourselves from flowers to catering, invites, decorations etc. We are hoping not to go over 5k. We have four children, a mortgage and I am currently a student, so we don't want to be starting married life with any debts and are not in the position to save much more than this. I am really enjoying the creative challenge and making the whole day personal to us.

Originally had a £7-8K wedding but that's gone up due to more funds from us and other family members so with everything all in, it's looking at around £12K minus the honeymoon which our best man has paid for and arranged as a wedding gift. Adding honeymoon if we were paying ourselves, I imagine it would be around £14K. This is managing as a student as well so it goes to show that it is do-able on a shoe string if you are willing to save! xx

Wow its all a lot of money. I've not included honeymoon on mine as we are not booking anything till after the wedding and are taking the kids with us.
To us we don't want to spend loads as its the ceremony that's the important part

Looking at £12k as a budget at the mo and that's not including the honeymoon as my mum has very kindly offered to pay for that - have said we will put all monetary gifts towards that as well. Our parents are being amazing and are doing a lot for us so that eases the financial strain considerably.

I would never spend crazy amounts of money on one day. I've dreamed of my wedding day all my life but you don't need to spend a fortune to make it the special day of your dreams. x

Ours is at £12k but we don't have a honeymoon yet. We're hoping for contributions as gifts as our dream honeymoon is £3000. Were paying about half ourselves and our parents about £3k each.

We reckon ours is going to be around £14K excluding honeymoon and hen and stag do. We've managed to get a few discounts, freebies and my Mum and Stepdad are paying for cake and invitations. OH's parents have given us around £6K towards it, that's what they did for his Sister, and he thinks we'll need to borrow more even though we're putting some of our savings towards it. I think we'll be fine :o)

Ours was about £14000 - £15000 I think. We were lucky to have support from parents, but we put our own money in too, as we wanted some money left to do up the house ready to sell on.

ours budget started at £3000 estimate but now coming in at £6000, we have found that the things we want are more expensive than we had originally thought. But were are happy with what we have for the money are spending. But £6000 is the maximum we are willing to spend.
I truly take my hat off to anyone who can manage a wedding on less than a £1000, my mind boggles at how this is possible

Amanda ours was the same our budget was originally 3-4k but is now looking at being closer to the 6k without the honeymoon. I couldn't justify paying much more than that. We are having exactly what we want too so I think we are lucky as some people seem to be spending 30k to achieve that.
