Hi, my wedding is in 2 weeks and all our wedding party was chosen years ago. My younger brother has a really lovely girlfriend who isn't a part of the wedding party but I'd like to give her some sort of role in the church. We already have 2 ushers giving out the orders of service and one at the door greeting guests aswell as having my bridesmaids, witnesses and people to do a reading and prayer. I've just been feeling really bad about not involving her recently. Can anyone suggest something I could ask her to do?

Hi thanks for your reply...we've only got 6 children and they're all pretty clingy so won't leave their parents sides. I'm wondering about her maybe giving out confetti cones but we've only got 30 and 90 guests! It's so hard trying please everyone!

Giving out confetti cones is a nice idea to get her involved. At a wedding recently, children were given packs of crayons and a colouring book etc to keep them entertained during the service. Perhaps this is something else she could give to guests with kids.

Or could she help with flower decorations at the church the day before if you're doing them yourself? This was a nice way for us to be involved at a friends wedding and felt like we'd contributed to their day. It was also a really fun girls day!

She could give out confetti cones. TBH she doesn't have to have a job, my BIL just drove family around who came from abroad for the wedding but he didn't have a special official role. Just let her sit at the front or 2nd row xx

Have they been together long? Tbh though, when my fiancés brother got married in June I didn't have a role but I didn't mind. I didnt expect one. I just sat in the second row after the spaces for the ushers etc x
