    Hello lovely brides,

Haven't been on here in a while as I have an awful lot going on at the moment!

Some of you may know that I've been having fertility treatment. Well we found out last week that it's been successful and that I am indeed pregnant! We are super excited and over the moon that it's worked but nervous and cautious as it's early days.

So we get married on the 25th of April and baby is due on the 20th of April. What am I going to do? LOL xx

First off congratulations. I think you have 2 options here, push it back 6months/a year, or bring it forward. But depends on your finances and how organised you are.

u maybe lucky lol but id rather change the date

babies r expensive so you may think about either bringing it forward quite a bit if you can afford to or put it back quite alot(ive been engaged for 4 year had 2 kids since 2012 and i can only manage a very small budget at a rush of getting married july 2015 sounda daft to say its a rush bt its true when you have to save in the middle of everyday expenses of babies)

    btw... congrats!!!

We only have a small budget anyway, and to change the date we'd lose a lot of what we do have as our deposits our non-transferable. The important thing to us is getting married, so we thought about having a small immediate family only low key registry office a couple of months before and then if I'm able to i.e. not in labour, have a blessing at the church on the day we were supposed to get married and have our reception. That way we still get to be married and not lose any money.

I'm going to ask the midwife if there is any chance that they'll induce me but I know that they'll more than likely laugh in my face lol xx

    Congrats :)
I would agree with the others and look at changing the date as it could be very stressful :) Like Lenny mentioned maybe speak to venue and they could organise another date :)

Congratulations! And also, wow! 5 days between! I think your only option is to change your date, unless you can have a peptalk with your new friend inside and make them stay in longer or out sooner haha!

I'm getting married 4th April and terrified of getting pregnant (as desperate as I am to have a baby) because I love my dress too much ahh!

Good luck, I hope everything works out and you have the wedding day you both want! Xx

congratulations this is wonderful news :), have a chat with your venue, you never know they may let you change it,
i like your idea of doing it first then celebrating after but babies are so unpredictable it would be sods law baby chose that day to come and you ended up being in labour and missing everything you planned, see what the venue say, if you dont ask you dont get xx

As everyone above has said I would definitely speak to the venue and explain everything to them and hopefully they will be understanding

Congratulations, that's amazing news! Like everyone has already said, I would change the date.. probably push it back rather than bring it forward, as like others have touched upon, you don't want any added stress during your pregnancy. No harm talking to the venue and seeing what they have to say! Let us know what happens :) x

I would definitely say forward not bk if u can afford it as babies are expensive so you may just keep putting it off for a few years otherwise!

Big congratulations though! We're 9 weeks pregnant at the moment, not too bad with our wedding only 3 weeks away xx

Do you have wedding insurance? That might cover you for deposits. Your venue and suppliers might allow you to transfer your deposits to other dates, as long as you're postponing or bringing forward and still using them, rather than cancelling and starting again. Congratulations on the baby.

Good point about bringing it forward rather than back. If you feel comfortable with bringing it forward and being a pregnant bride, then go for it.. I just thought because you'd said you are nervous and cautious at the moment it would be best to avoid the stress and have the wedding after xx

I honeslty think you need to change your date as well, either bring it forward or leave it for a couple of months after the baby is due.
