Hi everyone, Iam a newbie to the site and newly engaged to my wonderful hubby to be. I already have my idea for the theme and it is Vintage hoping for all the glamor of the 50s and I already have my photographer as a friend will be doing the photography for me. Our date is not yet set in stone as I am in need of rough idea of prices first so that we can then save and set our budget. Iam so happy and excited to be able to say that Iam the future MRS to my wonderful Mr. We will be having a church ceremony and a handfastening as we are a multifaith couple so I have 2 ceremony's to plan on top of all the normal wedding things that needs to be done. I have 3 bridesmaids that I know I want to be involved in my big day still to ask the 3rd then I need to pick a 4th but there is plenty of time for that. I have my trusty little ideas book my sister gave me as an engagement present, so everything I find that I like is going in there even bridal shops and designers Iam writing in or I would forget. I live in North Wales.

I get what you mean sometimes I feel all I talk about is weddings and stuff, I even said to my mates to shut me up if I start boring them and they said it my special day and they love hearing about it I think me being slightly crazy makes things sound more fun lol

Welcome and congratulations on getting engaged! We are also having a vintage theme for our wedding! I understand with the funds as well, our wedding has been booked for three years time (April 2017) after being engaged for 2 years already. We have recently bought a house so it was either get a house first or get married first but the house was an important thing for us as we have a little girl and we were living with my parents for a short spell. You will find ways of raising the funds, for us we are each saving away a little each week so that we can get to our budget in two years time. It will come by sooner than you realise though so it is a good job you are starting your planning already, I am the same. The excitement gets to you sometimes haha x

oh no i cant just sit here twiddleing my thumbs because i know thre is so much that needs to be planned and fibro makes life hard as it is so I have got to be organised cant do the running around like a loon in the last few weeks before the big day because if i did i wouldnt be able to enjoy my day

I would say being organised will mean less stress as stuff will be done and not leaving until last min . I'm getting wed next July and so far just cathedral and venue booked and nothing else so my lists are starting to get stressy lol
