Welcome Lynds and congrats on your engagement!

First things you really need to make sure you book once you figure out your budget is your Venue and Photographer. Both go really quickly and best advice I can give is take your time and haggle!

2016 may seem like a long way off but my OH and I got enagaged June 2013 and I cannot BELIEVE how quickly the first year has flown by.
